Apologies for the lack of an Extra Time show for the last two weeks.  we’re back with a triple offering with two episodes of Superman and HRB’s first Out and About of the year, Scott Rawlings at the Basingstoke Transport Festival, first heard on the Sunday afternoon of the bank holiday weekend.

Jubilee Weekend Residents’ Requests Special

A Jubilee edition of Residents’ Requests will take centre stage on this weekend’s show.

The staff and Residents’ of Cherry Blossom Manor in Bramley have been talking about their memories of The Queen and the Ryal family in a special show that can be heard from 3pm on Sunday 5 June.

There were all sorts of stories and memories plus some great music chosen too.

Last Day Drama

It’s all going to come down to the last day in the Premier Legaue and The Sound of Sunday will be on air to bring all the action and drama to listeners.

The title will be won by either Manchester City or Liverpool and there wil be live reports from the matches featuring both teams.

At the bottom the final relegation place wil be filled by either Burnley, Leeds or Everton with all 3 teams needing a win to ensure their place in the Premier League next season.

All the action and all the drama of the last day of the Premier League season, with all 10 matches kicking off at 4, Sunday 22 May from 3.30pm.

Nick Stapleton to be Special Guest on Sunday

BBC journalist Nick Stapleton will be joining us ont he show this week.

Nick, along with Rav Wilding, is the presenter of Scam Interceptor, the BBC One show that intercepts scam calls that originate from a call centre in India.

The show listens in to the calls tanks to the knowledge of an ethical hacker, and then stops the potential victim from losing their money.

And if you think the name rings a bell, that is because Nick is the son of consumer champions Lynn Faulds Wood and John Stapleton who were the presenters of the BBC’s Watchdog in the 1980s and 1990s.
