The Sound of Sunday Gets Two Award Nominations

The nominations have been announced and HRB has once again been shortlisted at the National Hospital Radio Awards.

The awards are organised by the Hospital Broadcasting Association to recognise the hard work of hospital radio volunteers and the many thousands of excellent hours of programming they are responsible for every day.

The shortlists for 9 of the 11 categories were announced on 18 February and 2 of HRB’s entries are nominated.

A programme trailer for Neil Ogden’s Sound of Sunday is shortlisted in “Best Station Promotion”.  It’s the second time a promo for the show has been nominated – previously a promo for the Sound of Sunday special It Started with Swap Shop won bronze in this category in 2017.

The other nomination was for presenter Neil Ogden in the Best Male Presenter category.

All the nominations can be found n the HBA website www.hbauk.com and the winners will be announced later in the year.

Residents Requests is Back!

And for the first time, the show can be downloaded and played back to the residents of either care home whenever is most convenient as well as when the show is broadcast on a Sunday afternoon.

The first edition was on 13 February and is available to listen to below.
