Series 32 Start Date Confirmed

Series 32 of The Sound of Sunday will start on Sunday 11 September at 1.30pm.

Neil Ogden will present the show as usual on Hospital Radio Basingstoke with the show repeated the following day on HRB.  The full show will also be available to listen to via the SOS Extra Time Mixcloud page.

The regular features will return including Soap Update, local news, Same Title Different Song and new episodes of Huntsford. There wil also be at least 2 competitions each week as well as of course requests.

The show wil continue to be presented remotely witgh the phone number 01256 594431 to take part in the show.  It is hoped a return to the HRB studio can happen before Christmas.

SOS Summer at the Cherry Blossom Manor Summer Fete

The Sound of Sunday Summer Show will be coming from the summer fete of Cherry Blossom Manor care home in Bramley on Sunday 21 August.

The show visited the event in July and met some of the residents, chatted to them about the afternoon and will be playing some of their favourite songs.

There’ll also be live music plus the regular SOS Summer features of local news, Huntsford and The A to Z of Pop Trivia Challenge.

Summer Show Returning for 2022

The Sound of Sunday Summer Show is returning this August to promote what is happening in Basingstoke over the summer.

Running for 3 weeks during August, the one-hour show will promote the details of the many events that are hapening around the Basingstoke area during August and September.  There will also be some clips from summers past and brand new episodes of Huntsford each week.

The show originaly aired in 1998 as a lighter summer version of the regular Sound of Sunday which runs from September to July.  After a 19 year absense, it returned in 2020 and this will be series 6.

The show will air on a Sunday afternoon 4pm from Sunday 14 August.
